Android app Medicine Alarm · Controller: VNM Apps / JGV Labs (individual developer) · Last updated: 9 October 2026
The four-line summary. Medicine Alarm reminds you when a dose is due and keeps a record of what you took. Everything stays on your device: the medicines, the schedules and the history.
There is no account, no server of ours, and we cannot access your medicines, your doses or your health history — technically impossible, because none of it leaves the phone. What does leave is only what ads and crash diagnostics send, as described below.
The processing described here is carried out by VNM Apps / JGV Labs, an individual developer, referred to as "we". Contact for any privacy matter: vnmapps@protonmail.com.
| Data | Why | Where it stays |
|---|---|---|
| Medicine name, dose, form, notes and the schedule you entered (every N hours or N days, days of the week, fixed times, "as needed") | It is the app's job: work out the times and ring the alarm | On your device only (local database) |
| Dose history: what you marked as taken, snoozed or skipped, with date and time | Show today, the history and your adherence rate | On your device only |
| Person profiles (name, colour) so one phone can serve more than one person | Keep each person's medicines and history apart | On your device only |
| App preferences (snooze length, how long the alarm insists, sound, vibration, language, large text) | Keep your settings between sessions | On your device only |
| Android advertising ID and ad usage data | Serve ads, measure performance and prevent fraud (Google AdMob) | Handled by Google under its own policy |
| App usage and crash data (screens opened, alarm fired, how you answered it, app version, device model, error report) | Understand what is used, fix bugs and improve the alarm (Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics) | Handled by Google. Does not include medicine names, doses, times or history |
We do not handle your contacts, e-mails, messages, photos or location. The app does not ask for or use blood pressure, glucose, lab results or medical records. We do not profile you to make decisions about you, and we do not use your data to train artificial intelligence models.
All of them can be denied or revoked at any time in Android settings; the related feature stops working, the rest of the app keeps working.
Medicine Alarm runs with no account and no server. There is no sync, no login and no database of ours holding your treatment. We cannot read, list, sell or share your medicines or your history — there is no technical path for it.
To erase everything, simply uninstall the app (or use "Delete" on each medicine and person). You do not need to ask us, because nothing about your treatment stays with us.
Android backup: if you keep Android's automatic backup on, the system may copy the app's database to your Google Drive account (yours, not ours). You can turn that off in Android's Settings → System → Backup.
We process data on the following bases, under the LGPD (Brazilian Law 13.709/2018) and, where applicable, the GDPR:
Medicine Alarm is free and is supported by Google AdMob ads. Google and its partners may collect the device advertising ID and usage data to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud. See Google's policy for partner sites and apps and the ads policies.
There are two formats, in the usual places: a banner at the bottom of the list screens (Today, Medicines and History) and a full-screen ad after you save a medicine — never on the first one and never near the alarm: between the alarm and the "Taken" button there is no ad at all.
You can limit personalisation in Settings → Google → Ads, including deleting or resetting the advertising ID. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent, through Google's form, before showing ads and before enabling usage analytics; you can review that choice at any time in Settings → Privacy and ads.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to learn what is used and to fix errors. The events are usage and failure events (for example: medicine saved with the kind of schedule chosen, alarm answer — taken, snoozed or skipped —, screen opened, app version, device model and the technical error text).
We do not send those services the medicine name, the dose, the times, the names of people or any text you type. The app does not ask for your name, e-mail or phone number to work.
We do not sell or rent data. Sharing is limited to providers needed for the app to work, each with its own policy:
Usage and crash data sent to Google is kept for Firebase's default periods (up to 14 months for analytics events; crash reports for Crashlytics' retention period). What is on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.
You may confirm processing, access, correct, anonymise, port or delete data, and withdraw consent. Because nothing about your treatment stays with us, those requests are served on your own device (edit or delete a medicine, uninstall the app) and, for advertising and diagnostic data, directly with Google. Even so, if you have any question or want to talk to us, write to vnmapps@protonmail.com — we reply within 15 days.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. It may be used by an adult to care for someone else (a child, a parent); in that case the responsible adult enters the data.
Because processing happens locally and we keep no user databases, there is no personal health data on our servers that could be exposed. What does travel (ads and diagnostics) goes over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Medicine Alarm is an organisation and reminder tool. It does not replace medical advice, does not suggest doses and does not interpret symptoms. Always follow the prescription of whoever cares for you.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or in the law. The current version will always be published on this page, with the update date at the top.
